[Henan] People on the cliff: Guo Liangcun

Knowing the name “Guo Liangcun” seems to have happened many years ago. There are very few things about Guo Liangcun. I only know that it is a village built on a cliff. I didn’t really know her until one day when I walked into Guoliang Village…

Guoliang Village is affiliated to Shayao Township, Huixian County, Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It is located at the junction of Shayao Township, 60 kilometers northwest of Huixian City, Xinxiang City, Henan Province, and Kunshan Village, Gujiao Township, Lingchuan County, Jincheng City. Traveling can only walk through the “ladder” of the Taihang Grand Canyon, which is more than 700 steps. The ladder is very dangerous and rugged, but it was the only travel passage at that time.

Touched, every stone.

Moved, every chisel.

Touched, every drop of sweat.

Moved, every step of the footprint.

In 1972, in order to let the villagers walk down the mountain, 13 villagers sold goats and yam under the leadership of the village secretary Shen Mingxin and the village chief Shen Mingkai to raise funds to buy steel hammers and steel brazing. In the absence of electricity, no machinery, all physical strength, lasted for five years, it is hard to hammer out a 26,000-meter-high stone cave with a height of 5 meters, a width of 4 meters and a length of 1300 meters. – Guo Liangdong, opened on May 1, 1977. To this end, Wang Huaitang and other villagers gave their lives. This cliff-length corridor was stunned by Japan’s Yuda Film and Television Company as “the ninth wonder of the world”.

Even with the old village chief Shen Mingkai when the road was dug.

The old man of Shen Mingkai was the old village chief of Guo Liangcun. He led the thirteen warriors to open the foothills of the mountains and carved out the heroes of Guo Liangdong. The heroes of the warriors made a profound change in Guoliang Village. The old man is now the only one of the thirteen warriors. The old man who is still alive is also a witness to that history.

I have long heard that the scenery there is beautiful. It is called “China Film and Television Village”, “The Bells of Qingliang Temple”, “Out of the Horizon”, “The Uncle’s Marriage”, “War Corner”, “Hands Up”, etc. More than 40 film and television dramas have taken photos of the location here.

To go to Guoliang Village, you must walk through the cliff corridor. The cliff corridor is also called Guo Liangdong. It is known as one of the most peculiar 18 roads in the world and is known as the “father of the Taihang Tunnel”.

Guo Liangdong, the promenade of the cliff, circling, flicking, and up and down, the walls are neat and flat, some are jagged and have different shapes.

At that time, 35 skylights were cut on the outside of the gallery for slag removal, ventilation and ventilation. Now it is our window to view the scenery.

Standing in the promenade, you can see it in the distance. The mountains in the distance are stacked, the gullies are horizontal and vertical, and the trees in the vicinity are scattered. It is really beautiful in the blue sky.

Standing on the observation deck and looking north across the Grand Canyon, the opposite is the red rock cliff. The cliff-length promenade, connected to Guoliang Village, is connected to the mountain road.

The small stone bridge at the entrance to the village is a must-have for film and television dramas here.

Because of the beautiful natural scenery and cultural landscape of Guoliang Village, it attracts the attention of students from all over the country. Students often live in the village for a while, because Guo Liangcun can be a beautiful picture from every angle.

Guo Liangcun is hung on a cliff at an altitude of 1,700 meters. The surrounding mountains are unique and the peaks are stacked. The main roads of the village are almost all on the cliff. Walking on the main road, I didn’t feel any difference from the ordinary village. I just walked to the edge of the cliff on the edge of the village, and I felt the fear of the village on the cliff hanging on the edge of the cliff. On the edge of the cliff, the scalp felt a little fried, and the back was cold and sweaty…

The old man chatting on the side has become accustomed to the disturbance of the tourists. When I pointed the camera at them, I still looked at me kindly.

In front of the stone house, the old pear tree guards the villagers from generation to generation. In the spring, the ancient pear trees bloom with white flowers full of trees, which are beautiful under the blue sky.

The small courtyard where Xie Jin had lived. The villagers said that without the director Xie Jin, there would be no Guo Liangcun. In 1990, when Xie Jin took the film “Qingliang Temple Bells”, he chose Guoliang Village with a discerning eye. This made it famous. The titles of “China Film and Television Village” and “National AAAA Tourist Area” are numerous. The life trajectory has also undergone a major turning point. During the filming, Xie Jin lived in the village of Li Zhangsuo. It was a 10 square meter bungalow, concrete, which was the best house that could be found at the time. Now, Li Zhangsuo’s family has been turned into “Xie Jinju”, and there are a lot of photos and photos of Xie Jin’s work here.

In the village, some villagers will keep the old houses in the old houses for tourists to visit, and the tourists can go in and take photos for a few dollars. (This is the “Liu Jia old house house” for visitors to visit.)

There are not many people on the cliff (an old house) like this.

The village can be seen everywhere: stone mill, stone mill, stone alley, stone table, stone bench, stone bed, stone steps, stone house, stone dam…, people are completely immersed in the wonderful embrace of the stone.

It is more primitive and ancient, with simple stone houses, stone mills, stone mills, stone walls, stone tables, stone benches, stone rafts, and stone-topped farmhouses. It is a block of rows and is lined with mountains. On the cliffs of the millennium, with its unique charm, a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists have been recruited.

That day, we had a wonderful night here.

Today, Guoliang Village is already a “net red village”. Of course, it is also a relatively controversial village. As for Guo Liangcun, what is it, only if you come here to see it, you can really appreciate it.
